Most Rev. Alvaro Corrada del Rio, S.J.Born in Sunturce, Puerto Rico in 1942,Bishop Corrada received his first formation at the public schools of his hometown, Morovis, Puerto Rico. In 1955 he entered the Minor Seminary of San Ildefonso, Puerto Rico. In 1960 he joined the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), New York Province at St. Andrew on Hudson, Poughkeepsie, New York. Bishop Corrada studied Philosophy at Shub Oak, New York, a College of Fordham University, Bronx, New York. He studied Theology at Woodstock College, New York City. The Most Reverend Miguel Rodriguez, CSsR, ordained him a priest on July 6, 1974 at his hometown of Morovis, Puerto Rico. After ordination he continued theological studies at the Institute Catholic, Paris, France. From 1977-1980 he was Director of spiritual retreats at the Jesuit House, in Manresa, Puerto Rico. From 1980-1983 he was assistant Pastor at Nativity Parish, New York City. From 1983-1985 he worked as Pastoral Director of the Northeast Pastoral Center, New York. His Holiness John Paul II named him Auxiliary Bishop of Washington, D.C. on May 30, 1985 and was ordained Bishop on August 4, 1985 by His Eminence Cardinal James Hickey, Archbishop of Washington, D.C. at the Basilica of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Washington, D.C. In 1997 His Holiness, John Paul II appointed Bishop Corrada, Apostolic Administrator Sede Plena of the Diocese of Caguas, Puerto Rico. In 1998 Bishop Corrada was appointed Apostolic Administrator Sede Vacante of the Diocese. On December 5, 2000 His Holiness John Paul II appointed Bishop Corrada, third Bishop of the Diocese of Tyler, Texas. His installation took place in Tyler on the 30th of January 2001.
Very Rev. Anthony Mclaughlin, JCDI was born in Belfast, N. Ireland and was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Tyler, on December 21,1997. I ministered at the Cathedral as a transitional deacon in the summer of 1997 and upon my ordination as a priest I served as parochial vicar from February 1998 to May 2000. During that time I also taught Latin at Bishop T.K. Gorman High School. I have served in several other parishes since my time at the cathedral: Sacred Heart, Texarkana, and St. Catherine of Siena, Atlanta, May 2000-August 2001; Our Lady of Sorrows, Jacksonville, Summer of 2002 and St. Matthews, Longview, summer of 2003. In 2001, I was assigned to the Catholic University of America, Washington, DC, for canon law studies and graduated with a license in canon law (J.C.L.) in 2003. In May 2004, having completed a year of doctorate work, I returned to the diocese and was appointed pastor of Mary Queen of Heaven Parish, Malakoff, and judge to our diocesan tribunal. In January 2009, I returned to the Catholic University to complete my doctorate work and in January 2010 I successfully defended my research and was granted the doctorate in canon law (J.C.D.). Effective February 2, 2010 I was appointed rector of the cathedral and judicial vicar for the diocese.

Deacon Steve CurryDeacon Steven Lynn Curry was born 10-02-1958 in Dallas, Texas to Ray and Carolyn Curry. One of eight children. Baptized at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Oak Cliff. Confirmed at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Garland, TX. Married to Anita Castaneda Curry at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Tyler, TX. Ordained 12-08-07 by Bishop Alvaro Corrada del Rio. Steve and Anita have five children.
